Terms & Conditions

Please note that by making a booking with Shay Leigh Makeup and or paying a security deposit, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. It is the sole responsibility of the client who pays the deposit to understand, agree an be responsible for adhering to these terms and conditions and making all relevant payments.

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. You should check this page regularly to ensure you are familiar with the current version.

Studio & On Location Booking Policy

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit paid online via credit card to secure the appointment, which will be deducted from the total price of the service. On the day, the remaining payment may be made via cash (preferable), EFT (2% surcharge applies) or bank transfer. 

Bookings are only considered confirmed once then deposit has been received, and an email confirmation has been sent to the client. Within that email, additional details such as studio address & parking information are also provided.

If you’re running late to your appointment, please call or text me with as much notice as possible. If you’re more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, you will be charged the full amount to the card details provided. In the event that you do arrive late, I will do my best to accommodate you with whatever remaining time we have of the appointment.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let me know with as much notice as possible. For rescheduling, I require 48 hours notice before the date of your appointment, where you have the option to transfer your deposit to another booking within the next 3 months. Deposits may only be transferred once. If the deposit cannot be transferred to another available date, Shay Leigh Makeup has the right to forfeit your deposit. 

Cancellations within the 48 hours of your appointment will result in forfeit your deposit. Additionally, cancellations made on the day, along with no-shows, will be subject to the entire booking amount. This will be deducted from your card details provided at the time of booking. Failure to settle any outstanding balances will result in prevention from booking any future appointments with Shay Leigh Makeup.

Liability

Please inform me of any pre-existing allergies, conditions or skin sensitivities prior to your appointment. I will take every precaution to ensure your safety, but ultimately cannot be held liable for any reactions that occur due to undisclosed allergies.

Shay and her assistants are not, under any circumstances, responsible for any alergic reactions to products used. The onus is on you the client to give Shay advanced notice if you or any of your group have hypersensitivities to any makeup products. Shay and her assistants do not accept liability for any claims arising out of the misuse, allergic reactions or any injury suffered as a result of the consenting use of the products and equipment provided by Shay. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you release Shay and her assistants from all liability if such a situation should arise.

Any makeup application done is at the client’s discretion, and at the end of the appointment, the client is encouraged to request any minor changes to refine the final look. Shay Leigh Makeup is not held liable for dissatisfaction if the client changes the desired look once they’ve left the premise and after the service has ended.

Shay Leigh Makeup does not offer refunds for any completed services. If you are in anyway dissatisfied, the onus is on you to notify Shay whilst in her studio or whilst she is on location.

Children

For their own safety, children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Shay and her assistants accept no liability from any claims arising from any injury sustained by a child while in the service area.

 Intellectual Property / Photography & Social Media Release

All intellectual property rights on this website, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, designs, and copyrighted material, are owned by or licensed to Shay Leigh Makeup. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or display any of the content on this website without our prior written consent.

Shay Leigh Makeup owns the right to any content captured during the appointment, with consent from the clients taken at the time. Clients are encouraged to take photos of their makeup to share with friends and on social media platforms. However, I ask that you please give credit to Shay Leigh Makeup where possible.

Any amendments or exceptions to these terms must be agreed upon in writing and subject to approval. Shay Leigh Makeup has the right to amend these terms & conditions at any time, and any changes will only apply to future bookings.
